FAQs

Frequently Asked Emergency HVAC Service Questions

Can I cancel my maintenance plan?

Yes. PeakClub renews automatically each month until you cancel, and cancellation is handled by phone.

The one term to know before you enroll: cancelling within the first three months incurs a penalty equal to the member discount savings you received on your initial job. In plain terms, if you joined to get the member discount on a repair or an installation and then cancel right away, that discount is recovered. After the first three months there is no cancellation penalty.

Before you cancel, two things worth weighing:

  • Warranty documentation. If your equipment is under manufacturer warranty, the documented annual service the membership creates is what protects a future claim. Dropping it means booking and documenting service yourself
  • Your accumulated trade in credit. That balance builds year over year toward a future system, and it stops building when the membership ends

If the reason is that you are replacing the system, tell us. New installations come with fresh warranty coverage and the right answer may be different.

Does a maintenance plan cover repairs and parts?

Membership covers your maintenance and reduces what repairs cost. It is not an insurance policy that pays for parts and labor outright, and we would rather be direct about that than let it be assumed.

What membership does on repairs:

  • No service fee on the diagnostic visit
  • Ten percent off all repairs and ten percent off replacements
  • A repair warranty on the work performed
  • Front of the line priority so a technician gets there sooner

What actually pays for major component failures is your manufacturer warranty. Peak Series packages include parts coverage at every tier, with parts and labor coverage extending substantially further on the upper tiers. Labor is the piece homeowners underestimate, since on a big repair it is frequently the larger half of the bill.

The failure mode membership prevents: a homeowner with a valid warranty whose claim is complicated by missing maintenance records. Your tune up history creates that documentation automatically.

How do I schedule my maintenance visits as a member?

You do not have to track it. Membership includes two tune ups a year and pre season scheduling, which means we reach out before each season opens and book a time that works for you.

How the timing works:

  • Cooling tune up in spring, before the first sustained hot weather
  • Heating tune up in fall, before you rely on the furnace

Those windows are chosen deliberately. Finding a weak component in April or September is a scheduled appointment. Finding the same thing in July or January is an emergency during the busiest week of the season, and pre season scheduling exists specifically to keep you out of that queue.

If our outreach comes at a bad time, call or use the contact form and we will move it. Members get scheduling flexibility, not a fixed date you have to work around.

If you need service between visits, do not wait for the seasonal window. Call, and your front of the line priority and no service fee apply to that visit as well.

Does a maintenance plan include emergency or after hours service?

Membership does not eliminate emergencies, but it changes how they go for you in three concrete ways.

Front of the line priority. When a heat wave or a cold snap floods the market with no cooling and no heat calls, members are placed ahead of non members. This is the benefit members value most, and it is invisible until the day you need it. On the worst days of the year it is often the difference between same day and several days out.

No service fee. The diagnostic charge that applies to a non member visit does not apply to you.

Ten percent off the repair. That discount applies to the work itself, which on an emergency repair offsets a meaningful share of the annual membership in a single call.

What membership also does quietly: reduces how often you need emergency service at all. Most no heat and no cooling calls trace back to conditions a technician would have found during a seasonal tune up.

How much does the Peak Club maintenance plan cost?

PeakClub Premier is $25 per month. There is one plan rather than a tier ladder, so there is nothing to compare and no upsell path.

What the price covers: two annual tune ups, pre season scheduling, no service fee on diagnostics, front of the line priority, ten percent off all repairs and all replacements, member only promotions, an accumulating annual trade in credit, and a free Aura smart thermostat with a year subscription.

Multiple systems: the listed price is for one HVAC system. Each additional system in the home adds $5 per month. A two system home is therefore $30 per month rather than two separate memberships.

Billing: the membership is monthly and renews automatically until you cancel by phone.

Worth knowing: the discounts apply to work you were likely to need anyway. Members who use a single diagnostic visit and one repair in a year generally come out ahead of the membership cost.

Is a maintenance plan worth the monthly cost?

For most homeowners with a system they intend to keep, yes, and the math is easy to check at $25 per month.

What you get back:

  • Two professional tune ups a year. Booked separately, those alone approach the annual membership cost
  • No service fee. A single diagnostic visit that would otherwise carry a charge offsets a meaningful share of the year
  • Ten percent off repairs and replacements. On one significant repair that is real money
  • The annual trade in credit, which accumulates toward your next system rather than expiring
  • Priority scheduling, which is worth the most on the exact days it is hardest to get anyone out

The part that is hard to price: the most common reason systems fail early is not that maintenance is expensive, it is that nobody books it. Membership removes that failure point.

Where it is less compelling: a system already at end of life that you plan to replace within a year. We will tell you to put the money toward the replacement instead.

What is included in a Peak Club membership?

Everything in PeakClub Premier, our single membership plan, at $25 per month.

Maintenance

  • Two HVAC tune ups per year, cooling before summer and heating before winter
  • Pre season scheduling so visits are booked ahead of peak demand

Service and pricing

  • No service fee on diagnostic visits
  • Priority scheduling, front of the line
  • Ten percent off all repairs
  • Ten percent off all replacements
  • Exclusive member only promotions through the year

Long term value

  • An annual trade in credit toward your next system that accumulates each year you stay enrolled
  • A free Aura smart thermostat with a year subscription

The quiet benefit: the visits actually happen. Documented annual service is also what a manufacturer warranty claim can ask for, and the membership creates that record without you tracking it.

Pricing covers one system, with an additional $5 per month for each extra system in the home.

What is the Peak Club maintenance plan?

PeakClub is our maintenance membership, and there is one plan: PeakClub Premier, $25 per month. Instead of remembering to book seasonal service and paying for each visit, you enroll once and your tune ups, priority service, and member pricing are handled from there.

What membership includes:

  • Two annual tune ups, one for heating and one for cooling
  • Pre season scheduling, so your visits are booked before the busy season rather than during it
  • No service fee on diagnostic visits
  • Priority, front of the line when demand spikes
  • Ten percent off all repairs and ten percent off all replacements
  • Exclusive member promotions throughout the year
  • Annual trade in credit toward a future system, which accumulates year over year
  • A free Aura smart thermostat with a year subscription

The listed price covers one HVAC system. Homes with more than one system add $5 per month per additional system.
